Mechatronics Engineering(MECH)
Key Knowledge and Skills to be Acquired:
Mechanical Engineering: Theory of machines, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Circuit analysis, digital and analog electronics, control systems, and power electronics.
Computer Engineering: Programming languages (like Python and C), embedded systems, and logic design.
Robotics: Robot operating systems (ROS), robot programming, and applications of robotics in automation.
Automation: PLC programming, industrial automation, and process control.
CAD/CAM: Computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) relevant passes (i.e. D grade or higher) in the following subjects: Physics/Engineering Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other modules non-religious or possession of at least NVA Level III of relevant trade and completion of O-level.
Course description
A Diploma in Mechatronics will provide you with a foundation in mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer engineering, along with practical skills in areas like robotics, automation, and computer-aided design. You'll learn to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot mechatronic systems, which are integrated systems combining these different engineering disciplines.
